Ho’oponopono

Clean. Clean. Clean.

I just recently received my Ho’oponopono Practitioner Certificate. (WOO HOO!) So of course, I want to enlighten everyone about this practice. You guys….this is the most profound, amazing, and true “problem” solving process ever (at least for me and my truth).

The jist of this practice is to take responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life. As Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, Ph.D. says, “Have you ever noticed that when there’s a problem in your life, you’re always there?” When I was first introduced to this process it was a bit overwhelming to dive into the mindset that everything, and I mean everything, in our lives are just memories that we use to create our reality. For example, you have a back ache; just a memory within you. You don’t like the way your friend is acting; memory within you. You have super anxiety or depression; memory within you. Someone complains to you about issues in their own life; memory within you….are you catching on yet??

The good news is, there is a practice that started in ancient Hawaii – Ho’oponopono, that we can use to clear out all of this bulls**t in ourselves! Ho’oponopono is defined in the Hawaiian Dictionary as “mental cleansing: family conferences in which relationships were set right through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, and mutual restitution and forgiveness.” (Basic Ho’oponopono Practitioner Certification, pg 5).

You’re probably still confused as to what this is – as was I. Because there is SO much background to this practice, I am going to list some references to check out instead of writing a novel about what I got out of it.

As always, only if this interests you at all 🙂

-Morrnah Simeona – first kahuna lapa’au (healer) to create an updated modern version of the ancient Ho’oponopono practice.

-Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, Ph.D. – expanded on Morrnah’s new modern version of Ho’oponopono and healed a ward of mentally ill criminals without “working” with them in person at all.

-Dr. Joe Vitale – co-wrote the book Zero Limits with Dr. Hew Len and works closely with him to tell others interested about the practice of Ho’oponopono.

BECAUSE this practice is all about ourselves….I am just going to list below the four phrases of the practice and leave it be.

I love you.

I’m Sorry.

Please Forgive Me.

Thank You.

The best to you all ❤

XO,

Claire
